Vandoren Sponsors 4th Annual Clarinet Ensemble Festival in Chicago
The fourth annual Vandoren Clarinet Ensemble will be held at Northeasern Illinois University on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19th. The admission is free.
This is the largest of the festivals Vandoren has sponsored and will prove to the be the biggest clarinet event Chicago has seen is quite some time. Some of the artists that are scheduled to apprear include:
Gregory Barrett, Lawrie Bloom, Steve Cohen, Julie DeRoche, David Gould, J. David Harris, Caroline Hartig, Harvey Hermann, Eric Mandat, David Tuttle, John Yeh, and Charlene Zimmerman.
In addition to these great artists, there are countless ensembles of all sizes that will perform throughout the two day event. A mass clarinet choir event will close the festival on Sunday. The ensemble, led by Harvey Herman (ret. University of Illinois.), is open to any clarinetist who wishes to participate.
Food and wine from the Vandoren vineyards in the south of France will be featured at the reception.
